Hi guys! I'm new here, I'm trying to get some info about connecting my gear properly.
Recently I bought Boss GT10 and Z-11 midi switcher
My aim is to change head channels via midi with GT10, loading fx at the same time for every channel
I want to know if I'm right:
1) connect Z11 'midi in' to GT10 'midi out'
2) select "omni" mode in Z11 (in order to change channels and also add fx with 'control' pedal)
3) connect cable to my Powerball
I have a question for step 3: do I have to connect the cable directly to the Powerball input or there's a way to use the "send-return"..?
Thank u! |

Hi WIPLASH,
I'm also using a GT10, but with an ENGL E580.
Unfortunatly I find that the both don't match very well. The GT10 does well on it's own, but in combination with the E580 it looks like it just sucks the tone out of my guitar. The level/quality of signal that goes into the E580 is a lot better without the GT10.
Do you have the same experience? If not, how do you connect them? You use the effects loop of you go first in the GT10 and then in the Powerball?
Grtz! |
